How did we get here? • Improvements in the quality of factories by 1900. • Workers are protected through laws and unions • Standard of living is raised. • Governments see the need for a “LITERATE WORKFORCE” • Establish public education • Most teachers not trained well, but it is a start. • High schools are created – teaching Latin, Greek, Mathematics and…. HISTORY!

  7. Mass Production • Production of a large number of products, within a short amount of time using time saving and effective techniques. • Must have the following: • 1.) Assembly Line • 2.) Interchangeable Parts • 3.) Power-driven machines
