  1. Icemaker How does it work? • The generator contains a water-ammonia solution. • Water is the absorbent • Ammonia is the refrigerant • The sun is heating the water-ammonia solution till ammonia boils out of the water. It goes through the Generator and condensates in the condenser coil, dripping down and is collected by the receiver. • During the night, when the generator is cold (room temperature), ammonia is drawn back through the evaporator inside the brine and into the water in generator. While evaporating, the ammonia absorbs heat from the brine and freezes water. • The brine contains salty water, which allows to transfer the cold to the water inside the plastic mould without freezing. • The generator is heated by solar collectors. • The solar array is made of 5 flat collectors and a parabolic water heater. • In case of lack of sun, we use a backup biomass boiler to heat the generator Cara Kerja • Di dalam Generator adalah campuran air dan amoniak. • Air sebagai penyerap amoniak • Amoniak sebagai refrigerant • Siang hari dilakukan pemanasan campuran air-amoniak • Amoniak akan menguap dan keluar dari generator, lalu kondensasi di kondenser coil, berubah menjadi cair kembali dan ditampung di receiver. • Malam hari, saat generator kembali dingin (suhu ruang), • Amoniak kembali ke generator melalui evaporator (di dalam brine) . • Evaporator (penguapan) amoniak menyerap panas di dalam brine dan menyebabkan pendinginan. • Di dalam brineterdapat air asin, yang mempunyai fungsi menghantar dingin ke cetakan es dari plastik, tanpa dirinya membeku. • Pemanasan generator dilakukan oleh sollar collector. • Solar collector terdiri dari 5 flat panel dan 1 parabolic water heater. • Jika cuaca tidak cukup panas, kami memanaskan dengan kayu bakar
