  6. COMMON MISTAKES • Use shallow incision when cutting the peritoneal cavity • Careful around blood vessels and organs – keep intact • Distinguish between male and female pigs – important for posterior incisions • May need to gently rinse out abdominal cavity • Go slowly – be careful
