  6. OGSO Review Elements (The 4 Ds): • Number of Defenders • Distance to Goal • Distance to Ball • Direction of Play

  7. OGSO Review Number of Defenders: • No More than One • Not Counting Who Committed Offense • Count Defenders Able to Defend (position on field)

  8. OGSO Review Distance to Goal: • Closer = More Likely • Take Speed of Attacker into Account

  9. OGSO Review Distance to Ball: • Playing Distance • Speed and Ability of Attacker • Distance to Nearest Defender Also Considered

  10. OGSO Review Direction of Play: • Toward Goal • Ignore Momentary Change of Direction

  11. OGSO Review Number of Defenders + Distance to Goal + Distance to Ball + Direction of Play = OGSO

  12. OGSO Review Even if there is no OGSO The Foul Can Still Result in a Send Off Based on the Severity of the Foul Itself
