Facts About Our School • Near culture center, city bus stop, MRT & highway • Night market at Fu-Dong every Thu. night • Kaohsiung English Education Resource Center & many English speakingteachers • Great food of school lunch for 4000 elementary & junior high school students daily • Chances to meetAustralian, Japanese, Korean, Malay students & teachers online/in person • ……& more waiting for u to find out!

  5. January • We’ll go to Kaohsiung Japanese school to play with our partners in January.

  6. January • After final exam, it’s the end of the semester. We’ll have a party in class. Then winter vacation begins!

  7. February After the winter vacation & the Lunar New Year, the new (spring) semester begins!

  8. March • We’ll have a “FudongLittle Mayor” election in March.

  9. March • Every Mon., Tue., Thu., & Fri., we have visitors from other elementary schools all over Kaohsiung to learn English at our Fudong English Village

  10. March • Inter-school Hand ball games will be held in March. Ball team players go to other schools to play.

  11. April • We have inter-class jump rope & basketball games in April. Very tired but exciting!

  12. In April, we have Fudong Art & Literature Festival. Every student include kindergarten babies go on the stage, singing, dancing, etc. Everyone tries to do their best. APRIL

  13. April • Fudong Art & Literature Festival —students & teachers’ works

  14. May • Fudong Happy Neighborhood Love show – we show at the park in front of our school

  15. May • We’ll invite our parents & grandparents to our school, to show our thanks for them on Fudong Mothers’ Day (2nd Thursday in May).

  16. May • Inter-class Dodge ball games will be held in May. That’s our favorite. You can make it!

  17. June • Chinese Speech, Calligraphy, Composition, Reading aloud, Chinese character & phonetic symbolwritingcontests will be held in June. Winners are stars & will go to city contest.

  18. We’ll have a farewell party for our American English teacher in June. One year passes & he/she will go back home. Everybody shake hands with him/her. June

  19. June Graduation ceremony is in June. Then it’s the final exam for those who is still at school. Good luck. bye everybody~~ See classrooms one more time

  20. July • Fudong will hold a physical & mental challenged students’ summer camp for those special students in Kaohsiung city every year.

  21. August We’ll have to take turns to go back to clean up our campus in summer vacation. It’s fun to see the whole school with no students but us in! So clean! So beautiful!

  22. August Fulbright scholarship winning English teachers will go visit our school every August. One of them will become a teacher in Fudong for one year.

  23. September • New Semester begins. New students come from different kindergartens will become students in our school. We’ll draw their hands for them as a lifetime memory!

  24. September We learn English every Thursdays mornings.

  25. September • Fire drills will be held in September. We can sit on the fire engine & go up high just for experiencing it. Cool!

  26. September We’ll have a Teacher’s Day celebration on September 28th. Teacher’s Day is also Confucius’ Birthday. Thank you, teachers!

  27. October 5th Graders have a Physical Health workshop in October. We know the differences between boys & girls ever since.

  28. October We have Grandparents Week in October. It is about grandparents learning with their grandsons and daughters – that’s us, oh!

  29. October • Inter-class Happy Baseball games

  30. November • Inter-class Recorder contests

  31. November We have Scout camping in November. All the scouts from different elementary schools inKaohsiung get together for 2 days camping. We all had a lot of fun!

  32. November We’ll have the English Readers’ Theater competition held in November. We are the home team so it’s very nervous!

  33. November • Our Japanese friends will visit us back in November too.

  34. December • We have different field trip course all over the year for different grades. Cool!

  35. December We have our Fudong Sports Day in December. We play many sports & have a relay race with other classes too. No classes at school but playing all day long, yeah!

  36. December We have a party for celebrating Christmas, though it’s not a holiday in Taiwan. We sing Xmas songs.

  37. Beautiful & interesting atmosphere everywhere, we are very happy to be students in Fudong. Welcome to meet us here! ^_^ THEEND
