  7. Classroom Management School-Wide Rules for Learning Success • #1 Listen to, and promptly follow all directions given by school staff. • #2 Think before you act. Make sure your actions will not hurt yourself or others. • #3 Take responsibility for your actions. Be honest. Be truthful. • #4 Solve conflicts with respectful, peaceful words, and actions. • #5 Attend school on time, and be prepared to learn with school books and supplies.

Bathroom Policy • We MUST use the restroom at the following times: • Before school • AM recess • Lunch recess • After school • In an emergency, a student may use the restroom during class time. • Wait for teacher to finish working with a student before asking. • Students are rewarded by me for not abusing their privilege. • Log

Third Grade CCSS English-Language Arts Reading Standards for Literature • Ask and answer questions to demonstrate understanding of a text, referring explicitly to the text as the basis for the answers. 3. Describe characters in a story (e.g., their traits, motivations, or feelings) and explain how their actions contribute to the sequence of events. 9. Compare and contrast the themes, settings, and plots of stories about the same or similar characters.

  25. Volunteers Needed! • Welcome anytime. • Call ahead if possible • Correcting tests/homework • Basic tutoring/Reading with students • Assembling materials • Help with art/science lessons. • Car Valet Drop Off • Copy Room • Parent Resource Center

  26. Room Parent • Create class roster. • Assists with parties, fundraisers, special events. • Coordinates classroom volunteers. • Coordinates communication between teacher, staff, parent organizations, and parents.

  27. Birthday Celebrations • Not mandatory! • All birthdays in a month celebrated last Thursday of the month at 2:15 at covered snack area by main office. • Parents organize themselves who brings what. • Do not send your child to school with goodies for them to distribute.
