In Freshman English "the students [you] will be introduced to the various genre of classic and contemporary narrative and informational texts that will be read and analyzed throughout high school. Ninth graders will connect with and respond to texts by analyzing relationships within and across families, communities, societies, governments, and economies. Through the lens of Inter-Relationships and Self-Reliance, they will consider how they build relationships, how their relationships impact others, and their responsibility to society.” Michigan Merit Standards & the Michigan Department for Education How will you do this?

  3. Don’t cause yourself stress! Do your work early! Don’t make excuses! Try doing ALL your homework! Study! Here’s My Advice Turn Homework in on time! Doing all things improves your chance of success! Give Yourself and your ideas time to blossom! Try you hardest! ACTUALLY READ! So, what will be doing in Freshman English this year?

(Literary Devices Lesson) Oct.28 Short Stories Exam Oct 29 Poetry Unit (Human Emotions Study) Nov. 25 Paper two Assigned Dec. 6 Poetry and Human Emotions Exam Dec16 Fall Semester Exam!!! Dec 8 Review Day!!! (Study Hard!!!) Ok, let’s break this down a bit!

  5. What’s a Writer’s Journal? A Writer’s Journal is journal or notebook where students must write (the first five-ten minutes of class) about texts, poems, their themes, lessons discussed in class, concerns they have about papers, things going on in their lives, and certain topics I will provide later each and everyday. ***Writer’s Journal will not be graded for accuracy but as a completion grade at the end of each week. So what else will I have to do in Freshman English?
