  2. Can Create Calendar For: • A group of employees with common work schedules • An individual employee with a unique work schedule • One or more positions

  3. Identifies • Hours per day for employees working nonstandard hours per day • Hours per day or days of the week for employees working a nonstandard work week • Hours or days that contracted employees work each month of a fiscal year

  4. Calendar is Used for Calculating: • Correct hours in a pay period • Correct hourly rate for an employee with nonstandard full-time hours per day • Correct hourly rate for an employee with a nonstandard work week

  5. Calendar is Used for Calculating (cont.): • Actual hours or days for DRS for contracted employees • Monthly buckets to record salary and employer costs for Salary Forecasting for contracted employees

  6. Hours Used for Calculating • Sick leave buyout amounts for faculty • Liability amounts for leave liability reports • LWOP date adjustment reports • Staff Months

  30. Pointers • Don’t make this harder than it is • Build the calendar every fiscal year before first payment • Combine similar ones and adjust by percent full time • Clean up your table – delete old years
