What is this presentation about • The following is a digest of a six months research of LAUSD’s eco system of end-users, roles, levels, and enterprise reporting applications that supports day to day operations district wide. It also incorporates the work of several leading academic scholars and authors such as Michael Fullan and Richard A. Villa Ed.D. who have been leading the education reform initiative for decades. • The goal remains a world-class education for every student preparing him or her for college and career. However, the world into which these students will emerge has changed, with technology pervading all aspects of modern life. • The presentation highlights key components to the implementation of Coherence in the digital age, its challenges and strategies to foster Coherence integration organically. • It’s intended to be implemented and iteratively evolved in collaboration with ITI taskforce, ITD, ODA (Office of Data & Accountability) and the Division of Instruction. Uber has redesigned its Partner app to give its drivers more information on how to make more money while delivering a better ride experience to their passengers. LAUSD will provide personalized information to its educators and admins so they can make better decisions that leads to better outcomes for them, for LAUSD, and as a result empower the student with better education.

The key catalyst for organizational alignment is the seamless flow of daily information anywhere, anytime and from any device, in support of their day to day duties and in their uninterrupted workflow, as instructional content and operational notification alerts with action suggestions. But there are Implementation challenges for LAUSD The district wide strategy must define its mission, values, vision, goals and objectives for each level and role, as well as success metrics for measuring progress toward reaching those objectives. Putting a district wide strategy into practice requires building a coherent platform that enables people at all levels to carry out their part of strategy.
