  2. What are these? • ALL – QUICKLY TRAVEL • Chasing –overtake or tag • Fleeing- antithesis; away from pursuer; avoid being tagged • Change direction • Run full speed • OR….

  3. Dodge! • Move body quickly from original line of movement • Quick fakes • Twisting • Stretching

  4. Why? • Reaction time – safety in PE • Outside PE • Dodging on sidewalk • Household chores • To get away from bad persons (unfortunately)

Progression Spiral • Proficiency- Invasion games; “faking”; (full game play) • Utilization- react quickly and accurately; control objects in changing environments (small sided games) • Control- keep eyes focused and react quickly; dodge one or more; chaser=headstart • Precontrol – running to location; introduction partner chasing
