  2. Habitats • Penguins live in cool places. For example, penguins are not found where polar bears are. Penguins live in the southern hemisphere. Waitaha penguins used to live in New Zealand but now they are extinct. Penguins spend 75% of there life hunting in the water. Now that is where penguins live.

  3. Food • Penguins eat a lot For example ,Penguins eat squid and a lot of fish. Penguins also eat crabs. A king penguin’s diet is fish and squid. A king penguin eats three pounds of fish a day. According to the text Penguins penguins need to store a lot if food to stay warm. Penguins get all there food from the water.

  4. What Penguins eat depends on there species. King penguins eat fish and squid. Most penguins eat krill.

  5. Interesting facts • There are some interesting facts about penguins. For example a King penguin can live for 15 to 20 years. • The oldest penguin was 41 years old. Penguins shake there heads and wave there fins when they talk to other penguins.

  6. Breeding season for penguins is in the summer. Another cool fact is penguins red eyes and yellow • Feathers help them attract a mate. • Another reason is that penguins have really good hearing. It Allows them to hear on land and under water. A king penguins sheds its feathers once a year Now aren’t those some interesting fact about penguins?

  7. Special Features • Here are some special features about penguins. I love penguins! In fact, did you know that penguins have double jointed necks that allows them to tip their necks all the way back so it looks like they are headless but they really are not? All species of penguins are excellent swimmers because of their shape and big strength of their body. • A penguins body temperature is 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
