Onboarding VISTA members and Sub-Site Supervisors By the end of this session, you will be able to: • Articulate the importance of VISTAs respectfully engaging with different cultures in the community • Identify and implement strategies to ensure VISTAs successfully enter different cultures in the community • Describe actions supervisors can take to facilitate growing their VISTAs’ cultural awareness and effectiveness

By the end of this session, you will be able to: • Distinguish the training roles and responsibilities of the intermediary organization, the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), and sites • Identify effective on-site orientation and training (OSOT) strategies and develop a draft OSOT for VISTAs • Identify effective orientation strategies for training sub-site supervisors and develop a draft orientation agenda
