  2. Represents • My work in this course represents my ability to organise various factors and synthesise ideas in accordance the parameters of briefs we have been given. • Factors such as deadlines, equipment, technical ability, workload, presentation, human resources and the understanding of briefs are all shown in the final outcomes of each moving image piece.

  3. Expresses • The work I have produced so far in this course shows the type of cinematography, technical abilities and genre I am accustomed to and enjoy recreating/producing. • It also shows my interest of digital live-filming processes, opposed to more traditional methods of filming, photography and animation.

  4. Abilities • During this course I have gained mostly practical understanding into the world media through various tutorials such as the lighting, photographic film developing etc. • I have also gained an insight into ‘new ways’ and methods of approaching potential film ideas/concepts and how to create my own unique approach that could reflect well on future courses or in industry. • 2-Week deadlines also allowed me to learn my ability of much work I am realistically able to do within a 2 week gap. This should make it easier to work out and plan an appropriate workload for my final project.

  5. Development of ideas • Ideas for briefs were difficult to think of near the beginning of the course. Mainly due to the difficulty of interpreting the briefs that seemed very vague to begin with. Over the course, they grew increasingly easy as I understood what was wanted from me and how to interpret the freedom of the briefs and use it to my advantage.

  6. The Future • In the future I plan to make my way into the world of post production and eventually become a video effects editor. I am also interested in motion/3D graphics, VFX/CGI and online editing. • In the near future, I will likely begin as a runner at a post-production company.
