  3. Why handwashing is really important ? • The best prevention method all the times and important in whole aspect of human life’s

  4. Objectives At the end of the session, the participants will be able to: • Describe the importance of hand washing • Perform the correct hand washing method

  5. Definition Hand washing is defined as the vigorous, brief rubbing together of all surfaces of lathered hands, followed by rinsing under a stream of water.  • Handwashing  suspends microorganisms and mechanically removes them by rinsing with water.  • The fundamental principle of hand washing is removal, not killing.

Washing hands prevents illnesses and spread of infections to others Handwashing with soap removes germs from hands.This helps prevent infections because: • People frequently touch their eyes, nose, and mouth without even realizing it.   • Germs from unwashed hands can get into foods and drinks while people prepare or consume them. • Germs from unwashed hands can be transferred to other objects, like handrails, table tops, or toys, and then transferred to another person’s hands. • Removing germs through handwashing therefore helps prevent diarrhea and respiratory infections and may even help prevent skin and eye infections.
