  1. Klinische Studien als Standortindikator Verteilung klinischer Studien weltweit (n=52.006) • Klinische Studien sind eine der wichtigsten Indikatoren für medizinisch- technische Innovationen. Gleichzeitig sind die Standortbedingungen wichtige Voraussetzung für die Standortwahl. • Für durchführende Dienstleister sind sie zudem eine wichtige Einnahme- quelle. • Im internationalen Vergleich sind die USA eindeutig Marktführer. Deutschland behauptet noch Platz 3. • Während in den USA zwei Drittel öffentlich und ein Drittel privat finanziert werden, ist es in Deutschland genau umgekehrt. • Die höchsten Wachstumsraten verzeichnen derzeit China, Indien und Russland.
