  1. How do I fix the blinking Online Spectrum? If you have blinking problems with your charter internet connection, the modem may need to be reset to the factory settings. This is one of the most useful troubleshooting steps and definitely one of the first things you should try before contacting technical support.   3. 1. Check the cables. • Check and tighten the coaxial cable connected from the wall on the back of your modem. Make sure that the coaxial connectors are not damaged at each end. The metal pins on the connector should be intact and straight. • Ensure that one end of the Ethernet cable is connected to the Ethernet port on the back of the modem and the other end to the WAN / Internet port (yellow) on the back of the router.
