TGB Standards Workgroups Jason Salts, Facilitator February 2009 Rough Time Line Remarks Current Projects Status Common Directory Standard E-Mail Service Standard Data Backup Standard Shared Infrastructure Usage Standard Webpage Standard Data Center Standard Database Standard • Standards Projects • JCIO is in the process of reviewing the Common Directory Standard • Two standards, Data Backup and Email Systems have been reviewed by the JCIO. • The CIO Council has reviewed the Data Backup and E-Mail Systems Standard. • The JCIO will have final say on the E-Mail System Standard prior to SAG review. • The Data Backup Standard is now to the SAG for review and public comment. • The web page workgroup has formed and has drafted a charter of team guidelines for JCIO review. • The Data Center Team has names and a kickoff meeting has been scheduled. • The Database Standard research has commenced and team formation to take place very soon. • Thoughts about Standards based on current economic conditions? Risks • Low Participation by team members. • Locating information about Infrastructure, Programs, and • Stakeholders • Over allocated Resources
