  2. Trip Itinerary • Sample itinerary to take home • Arrive at RMS gym at 5:45 a.m. on Wednesday, May 9th (no later than 6:00!) • Departure is 6:30 a.m. • Arrive at RMS gym at 7:15 p.m. on Friday, May 11th.

The Facts • 28 teacher chaperones/288 students • Six chartered coach busses • One administrator • Students are 4 to a room (their selection) – no teachers in student rooms - rooms have two double beds • Girls and Boys are on separate busses and in separate buildings • Two police officers on duty all night, doors taped

  5. Education • Andersonville Civil War Prison • Town of Andersonville • Old Fort Jackson • Fort Pulaski • Marine Biology & Dolphin Watch • Trolley Tour of Savannah • First African Church • Savannah River aboard the River Queen • River Street – shopping!

  6. MEDICINES • All medicines must be accompanied by a medicine form. • Medicines should be given directly to child’s chaperone the morning of departure • School nurse will attend trip • Emergency medical devices can be kept with nurse or child (in extreme cases)

  7. Items of Interest • Sack lunch for first day • Comfortable Shoes and an extra pair! • Rain coat, poncho, sweatshirt • Sunscreen, bugspray • Camera (disposable recommended) • Cell Phone • Appropriate PJs and footwear for hotel

  8. For the bus… • Backpack/carry on • Snacks • PSP’s, iPods, portable DVD (student responsible for all of these!) • Movies for bus ride • Light sweater/blanket/pillow

  9. NO!!! • Video Cameras • Game systems • Swimsuits • Mini-TVs • Expensive Jewelry or purses • Digital cameras

  10. F O O D & F U N • Hot breakfast each morning at hotel • Dinners provided • Lunch on River Queen • We will become Civil War soldiers at Old Fort Jackson • Skating!! • Hotel Check in!

Expectations • Representing Riverwatch Middle School and Forsyth County Schools • School Dress Code applies!!!!!!!!!!! • Hotel & Tour Etiquette • County discipline code applies • Infraction on trip – possible consequences and scenarios… • Warning • Removal of social event privileges • Call home for parents to come pick up • Discipline Agreement • 2 Saturday Schools • Any discipline infraction that resulted in O.S.S. • Commit any act that is deemed by the administration to have been considered egregious.
