  3. DEPARTURE • Arrive at PGMS BACK PARKING LOT between 5:30 and 5:45 a.m. on Monday May 16, 2011 • DO NOT BLOCK THE BUS AREA OR THE ROAD AROUND TO THE BUS AREA • Departure is 6:00 a.m. • Boys 7th Hall Girls 8th Hall • Get Luggage Checked, turn in medications • Board Bus

  4. Medications • OTC and Prescription Medications – use form attached and indicate dosage and times given • Give all medications and directions directly to your child’s chaperone when you arrive at the school in a plastic bag with instructions and labeled with child’s name

  5. Cell Phones Okay but with limitations Emergency Contact – use phone numbers at the bottom of the first page Emergencies, Phone Calls and Cell Phones

  7. Packing Guidelines 1 Suitcase and 1 Carry on In Your Suitcase… • Clothes must be school dress code • Appropriate PJs and footwear for hotel • Socks and Tennis Shoes, EXTRA PAIR TOO (comfortable) • Personal Items • Extra Drinks and Snacks for Hotel or Later Days

Packing Guidelines 1 Suitcase and 1 Carry on In Your Backpack/Carryon… • Books, magazines, paper, pens • CD Players, IPods, Handheld games (must have headphones) • Snacks and Drinks (limitations) • Camera/Cell phone • Umbrella, poncho or raincoat • Money with extra change for vending machines • Light sweater/small blanket or pillow • Bug spray and sunscreen • Movies to play on the bus televisions (Must be approved by a chaperone) • Personal Items

  12. Spending Money • We Suggest $30-40 • Shopping on Day 2 on River Street, lots of tourist stores. • Snacks at vending machines in hotel or rest stops. Make sure to include some coins

Expectations • Representing Piney Grove Middle School and Forsyth County Schools • County Dress Code and Code of Conduct applies • Hotel & Tour Etiquette • Please have a conversation with your student before we leave about behavior, because it’s a long drive to Savannah in the middle of the night • Infraction on trip – possible consequences and scenarios… • Warning • Change of Bus or Group • AM Detention in Hotel • Removal of social event privileges • Call home for parents to come pick up
