  2. Pros and Cons Technologies and Computers in the classroom have many pros and cons that are deciding factors in schools today. This table shows the pros and cons specifically for computers, smart boards and digital photography which are extremely common in today’s society.

  3. Computers • Computers and technology have become a large part in every day life. Computers in classrooms allow students to have useful access to important information while also allowing students to provide up to date sources. Both of these qualities allow students to further educate themselves with the convenient information provided by the internet.

  4. Smartboards . The video below describes what a smart board is and how it is used in a classroom setting. ./Downloads/video_5112697_smart-board_.html • Smart boards are interactive whiteboards that can help students further engage in classroom activities and lessons. After being introduced in 1991, Smart boards have helped promote students to be more active in the classroom.

  5. Digital Photography • Digital photography has many advantages in the classroom. Pictures are easily accessible and they can be accessed through a computer while being saved as a graphic format. Teacher’s find it convenient to use for their students to relate photos to real life. • Digital cameras are extremely popular in today’s society and are becoming more common in the classroom and for personal use. The quality of the photo is clear, and digital photography is easy to use.

  6. Technology in Schools • Technology in schools is important and is a new way many schools go about teaching. In 2009 the United States spent 269 million dollars to further bring technology into the education system.
