Digital Learning 2014-15 • Implement • Digital Learning Plans completed by districts • Plans are approved by school boards and FDOE • Districts implement digital learning plans • DOE provides digital learning support • Technology Readiness Inventory completed twice a year • Report outcomes of digital learning plan • Plan • Measure

  3. New Legislation – State Digital Classrooms Plan State Digital Classrooms plan will establish parameters for district- and school-level infrastructure and digital learning tools

  4. New Legislation – Digital Classrooms Plans District plans will be submitted by each district school board annually for approval to the Department of Education • Due by October 1, 2014 and by March 1 of each year thereafter

  5. New Legislation – Digital Classrooms Plans Plans shall include: • Measurable student performance outcomes • Digital learning and technology infrastructure • Bandwidth • Wireless • Devices • Data Security • Professional Development • Digital Tools • Online Assessment support

  6. Digital Classrooms Funding $40 Million District Funding • $250,000 minimum for each district • Remaining balance distributed based on unweighted student enrollment • School districts may use a competitive process to distribute funds to the schools within the district
