  8. Apple ID Creation Because the devices are personalized, the division needs a method to ensure each device receives the appropriate software and curriculum materials. The Apple ID is used as a unique identifier which will allow the device to be appropriately managed. Although the Apple ID is in the form of an email address, it cannot be used to send or receive any email or other messages. The ID does not need a credit card or any other form of payment from parents.
