How does PSMA Australia use jurisdiction DCDB contributions? • CadLite • Over 10.8 million polygons representing the registered land parcels in Australia updated quarterly with incremental updates available. • Every parcel contains the legal parcel identifier that acts as a key to access richly attributed jurisdictional Digital Cadastral Data Bases (DCDB). • Also contains links to key administrative data layers including Local Government Area and Locality. • A property version of the dataset is also available.

How does it come together? • Part of the Data Management Supply Chain (90 Day Cycle) • References: Suburbs/Localities and Local Government Areas • Majority of process basic standardisation of attribution • Some exceptions: • Jurisdiction ID • Strata / Group Records • Property • Method varies for each • jurisdiction.

  11. Jurisdiction_ID • Essentially a concatenation of lot,sec,plan etc. • Aside from spatial really the only link back into source datasets

  12. Strata / Group Records • Spatial representation of strata/group records where they can be identified • Representation is a Point Feature • Features on ground floor represented as Polygon Features

  13. Strata / Group Records • QLD – separate point dataset provided by jurisdiction. • TAS – Strata records are separated from cadastre where the ‘base’ parcel can be identified (Lot number = ‘0’). Strata polygons are converted to point objects. • SA – Strata records are separated from the cadastre where they can be identified (Plan_T = “S” and Level <> 0) or (Plan_T = “C” and Level <> 0) in jurisdiction data. Strata polygons are converted to point objects. • WA - Strata records separated from cadastre where (LOT_TYPE = “STPLAN” or LOT_TYPE = “SSPLAN”) in the original jurisdictional data. Strata polygons are converted to point objects.

  14. Strata / Group Records • ACT – (Strata/Group) A separate table called ACT_UNIT representing B-class unit properties is provided by the jurisdiction. These are retained as polygons. ACT Property table provides records indicating both A-Class and B-Class units. The A-Class units are converted to points as these are multi-story units whereas the B-Class are Ground level. • VIC – Strata records are identified by occurrences of replication of CAD_POLYGON records. In these instances, generally the record with the lowest Lot number is retained as the base polygon and remaining records are converted to points.

  15. Strata / Group Records • NT – A point table representing parcels within Aboriginal communities is provided by the jurisdiction. While not ‘Strata’ records, these are processed for inclusion in the CAD_POINT table. NT_UNIT_ADDRESS_POINTS supplied with G-NAF contains addressing information. This Unit Address File contains point data that is consistent with typical Strata data. The combination of these 2 tables is used to create the CAD_POINT table. • NSW – Strata records are identified by selecting records from Lot andPropertylot contributed tables whereCadID values match andClasssubty = 3. The selected polygons are converted to point objects and assigned CAD_POINT_PID values equal to the associated CAD_POLYGON_PID + “/” + Lot Number.

Property • Association of a “Property” to Cadastral Parcels • Minimum spatial unit is a Cadastral Parcel • NSW – PropIdvalue from PROPERTYLOT table • VIC - Pr_Pfi (Property_PFI) value from PROPERTY table • QLD - Property_Idvaluefrom QVAS ADMIN tables • SA - Assessment Number+Tenancy Sequence number from FUL_LINK table • WA - VE_Numberfrom VE_PURPOSES and GROUPED_LAND tables • TAS – PID value from Cadastre data (used to build CadLite) • NT - TEN_VOL_TY + “/” + TEN_VOL + “/” + TEN_FOL from NT_PROPERTY_CADASTRE • ACT – Title Number from PROPERTY file & Title Number+Unit number from ACT_Units file.
