  2. Creating support for the application of theInternet in the SEVEN-Network

  3. On the basis of technical instructions from the Lunaria-team, ongoing actualisation and extention of the project website www.seven-network.eu

  4. We have added the section "Internet Tools" and published there some instructions created by us for this purpose about how to use these tools.

  5. We made a call for update for the "SVP Partner finder" and updated of institution cards.

  6. We have added the section "SVP Funded projects" and published there eight descriptions of SVP projects so far.

  7. Course materials about ICT-use for theSEVEN Training Courses

  8. Course ACTIVE 1 – “Active Citizenship Training Initiative for Volunteers in Europe”, held in Venice 9th - 13th December 2008. Focus on introduction to the subject of use of the new media and the Internet and presentation of examples of good practice.

  9. Course ACTIVE 2 – “Active Citizenship Training Initiative for Volunteers in Europe”, Rome 24th - 29th January 2010. Focus on practical aids such as language and communication tools to foster interaction between SEVEN-members – a major challenge.

  10. We created a blog on the SEVEN website for exchange of information between the volunteers. You are invited to make use of it to share your experience!

  11. Current follow-up projects - SVP

  15. Preparatory seminars for outgoing andincoming SVP volunteers

  16. The outgoing German volunteers were trained in a residential seminar in Bad Urach in February 2010how to make research, use of translation machines, skype and bloghow to document their stay per Internet, text and photos, videoshow to prepare a PowerPoint for a presentation during their stay

  17. The incoming volunteers were prepared for the exchangeBefore arrival: through email exchange and sending interesting links, some communication per skype During the stay: use of the translation machines, use of skype and blog

  18. In the spring of 2010, we offered a Grundtvig in-service training course "Manager for virtual learning in the field of seniors' voluntary work in Europe" (MVL) designed for multipliers of SEVEN, but it did not take place due to insufficient number of participants.

  19. Dissemination

We disseminated information about SEVEN in the ZAWiW website and website of cooperation partner ViLE e.V., mailing lists of professional networks, in an article in BAGSO News 2/2009, online newspaper for seniors LiLL-Magazine 01/2009 with the subject „Voluntary work“, dissemmination of SEVEN flyers at relevant events

The first important steps had been done fo implement the new information and communication tools and the Internet in the SEVEN and the SVP work, however, these tools are until now not so well known and nor widely used.It makes sense to recognise their benefits and to give them more importance by the institutions, the mediators – and give the SVP good examples for the future.
