  2. Philippians 1:21 For to me to live isChrist, and to die isgain.

  3. Genesis 1:28 And God blessed them. And Godsaid to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on theearth.”

  4. Deut. 6: 4 -9 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord isone. You shall love the Lord your God with all yourheart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall beon yourheart. You shall teach them diligently to your children,andshalltalkofthemwhenyousitinyour house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and whenyourise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on yourgates.

  5. Psalm 139: 13 -14 13 For you formed my inwardparts; you knitted me together inmy mother'swomb. 14 I praise you, forI am fearfully and wonderfullymade. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it verywell.

  6. Psalm 127:3 Behold, children are aheritage from theLord, the fruit of the womba reward.

  7. The reason we have children is because it's God's desire thatwe be fruitful and multiply and this fruitfulness includes raising spiritual sensitive children who will serve God and work for His glory.

  8. I. Christ-centered parenting is not aboutus but aboutHIM!

  9. Luke 10:27 And he answered, “You shalllove the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and withall your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.”

  10. Parents: The reality iswhat you desire in this life, motivates this life, and in turn drives how you live in thislife.

  11. Takeaway: Christ-centered parenting is driven by the call to train children to love Godsupremely. (Deuteronomy 6; Luke 10:27)

  12. Proverbs 23: 13 -14 13 Do not withhold disciplinefrom achild; if you strike him with a rod, hewill notdie. 14 If you strike him with the rod, you will save his soul fromSheol.

  13. Proverbs 29:15 The rod and reproof givewisdom, butachildlefttohimselfbringsshametohis mother. Hebrews 12:11 For the moment all discipline seemspainful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to thosewho have been trained byit.

  14. Ephesians6:4 Fathers, do not provokeyour children to anger, but bring them up in the disciplineand instruction of theLord.

  15. II. Christ-centered parenting is committedto raising children inBiblical manhood andwomanhood.

  16. III.Christ-centered parents find their identity inChrist.

  17. Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the wayhe shouldgo; even when he is old he willnot depart fromit.
