  2. Access Management System • AMS is a system in which the Coordinating Agency (CA) carries out the access management functions. • 24 hour access-Medicaid mandate • Residential • Detoxification • Outpatient ( Drug-Free) • Outpatient with Medication(methadone, Buprenorphine) 1-800-467-2452

  3. Who’s Eligible? • City of Detroit Residents who have …. • No Insurance • Medicaid Insurance • Under Insured 1-800-467-2452

  4. Call Center • The purpose of the “Call Center” is to create a telephonic access line for a brief screening and referral process for the City of Detroit residents who are seeking substance abuse services. 1-800-467-2452

  5. Call Center • Location- 3rd floor • Hours of Operation 7:00 am-6:00 pm/After hours 6:00 pm -7:00 am. • 7 Referral Agents are stagger to cover daytime hours of operation. 5 referral agents alternate monthly to cover the after hour shift. 1-800-467-2452

  6. Process • The referral agents answer the access line • Conduct a brief screening • Determine eligibility for substance abuse services. • If the client is determined eligible for services the client will be given a choice of providers within the modality. • The referral agent will then contact the provider of choice and make the referral. • Referrals generated electronically. 1-800-467-2452

  7. Treatment on Demand • Clients are able to go to treatment immediately after the screening is completed. • No waiting list. 1-800-467-2452
