  13. IOWA CORE In case you haven’t heard . . . It’s Iowa Core, not “Curriculum.” Make changes as you can.

  14. Understand the Iowa Core?

  15. Don’t forget the “aea9 Rollout” document! • Available on our AEA9 Web Site • Guide for the work to occur in the district, but can be changed • Districts who have spent more than 2 hours working with staff on “Understanding the Iowa Core” have been more open to change and willing to consider updating content, instruction, assessment

  16. What Can we do? IDEA: • Staff independently read page one of the “Overview Paper,” underlining key descriptive words or phrases. • With a partner or trio, write those key words or phrases on a sticky note. • Meet with two other groups and write all common themes on index cards (Activity 1, Module 7) • *Email me if you want that paper

Video Tutorials Available- PLEASE WATCH! • There are two tutorials available on how to put your information into the “EdInfo” site for electronic submission. • Self-Study Tutorial (Anonymous entry remember!) • Implementation Plan Tutorial FOUND AT “DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION” / “IOWA CORE CURRICULUM” / Scroll Down until you find the video tutorials.
