    7. 7 AdSTM Success Story Committed to a Mentor/Protégé Agreement with AdSTM in 2002 to assist that 8(a) Woman-Owned Small Disadvantaged Business in expanding its capabilities and business in the DoD technical arena DCS and AdSTM have mutually benefited from a formal Small Business Administration Mentor-Protégé Agreement approved in 2003 DCS and AdSTM formed a Joint Venture (ASMS JV LLC) that was a successful bidder on 5 competitive solicitations across 5 separate Program Managers, (PMAs) within the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) The ASMS JV LLC currently manages 13 subcontractors and over $45M in funding Recently, AdSTM successfully bid competitively as prime on a 5-year, $36M DOT&E JT&E JPO contract with DCS as a major subcontractor

    8. 8 Success (continued) Contract performance, both as the ASMS JV LLC and in the prime-subcontractor arrangement under the JT&E JPO contract, has been exceptional Since 2003, AdSTM has grown from about 15 employees to more than 90 employees, and has developed a diversified business base in DoD and other Federal agencies The success of the DCS-AdSTM Mentor-Protégé partnership is testament to DCS’ commitment to the advancement of small businesses in the Federal contracting arena
