Know the campus emergency procedures (e.g. from the emergency procedures flipcharts, evacuation signage etc) • Know the location of the nearest fire alarm call point • On hearing alarm: • Leave room immediately • Follow EXIT signs • Assemble at emergency assembly area • Follow instructions from wardens (wearing yellow or blue hat) • DO NOT re-enter building until All clear given Evacuation

Earthquake DROP, COVER & HOLD (Stay away from anything that could fall on you) If outside, move to an open space away from buildings, power lines, streetlights etc Tornado Take shelter - basements and downstairs rooms are safest Stay in the centre of the room If you're outside, lie down low in a low lying area or a ditch and protect your head with your arms. AFTER an event, follow the directions of Staff & Wardens

  4. Injury reporting • If you injure yourself on campus, in class, at the gym, in the grounds, etc. • Report it! • Get form from Massey Contact, ASA office or your course administrator or online • Fill in, hand to Massey Contact, ASA office or course administrator • Why? – so that the issue can be investigated and repaired to prevent similar injuries

  5. Smoke free policy • All University buildings are totally smoke free. • Campus grounds are smoke free except for designated smoking areas. • The smoke free policy applies 24/7. • All staff, students, visitors and contractors are expected to abide by the smoking policy. • Discipline may occur if the policy is breached • Designated Smoking Areas: • Open area at end of paved area outside Atrium building • Top bus shelter • Open area on the paved quad between the Study Centre and Quad A • Student car park, Oteha Rohe campus • Car park at end of Oaklands road • Designated area outside cafeteria, building 98
