Technical challenges Gas turbine (ST18) Shafts and seals Problem solved 2011 Hydraulics system Vital part of the propulsion system Big effort from industry and NDLO Technical commission with recommended solution Should have been ready for sailing January 2012, but problem continued until mid february. Still experiencing some problems Warranty Glimt full warranty Storm, Skudd, Steil partly (for repaired systems) Gnist will have full warranty Complicated regime (Navy not allowed to repair technical problems) The Skjold-cl is complicated and advanced technological vessels and we are experiencing similar problems as seen earlier when implementing new vessels.
