  1. How to Enroll in UCF Retirement Plans Florida Retirement System (Employer-sponsored) Optional Retirement Program (Employer-sponsored) Voluntary Contributions (Employee-sponsored) Instructions on Completing Enrollment Forms Resources Provided by UCF Benefits Section, Office of Human Resources

  2. Florida Retirement System • Pension Plan • USPS Employees are automatically enrolled • A&P/Faculty must submit a Retirement Plan Choice form (ORP-16) • Complete pages 1 & 5 • Submit forms to Human Resources UCF Benefits Section

  3. Florida Retirement System • Investment Plan • USPS employees will receive an enrollment packet in the mail approximately 60 days after date of hire. A&P/Faculty employees must complete Retirement Plan Choice Form (ORP-16) enrolling in the FRS Pension Plan. • Submit to Human Resources • Investment Plan enrollment packet will be mailed to home address. • Employees will be directed contact MyFRS Guidance Line, 866-446-9377 for investment options. • Employees have until the last business day of the 5th month following their date of hire to enroll. Optional Retirement Program • Available for A&P/Faculty employees • Must enroll within 90-days of date of hire (after 90-days, employees are placed in the FRS Pension Plan) • Complete Retirement Plan Choice Form (ORP-16) • Complete pages 1, 4 & 5 • Complete company application from one or more of the following companies: AIG VALIC, ING Aetna, Jefferson National, MetLife Investors, TIAA CREF • Submit all forms together to Human Resources UCF Benefits Section

Voluntary Contributions • Available to all UCF employees • Employees have the option of contributing their own money to a 403(B), 403(B)(7) and/or 457 (all pre-tax contributions) and ROTH 403(b) (post-tax contributions) • No enrollment deadline • Can make changes at anytime • Complete a Salary Reduction Agreement and a copy of Company Application • Submit forms to Human Resources UCF Benefits Section

Voluntary Contributions, cont. • ORP Member making change to ORP voluntary contribution – must submit a Salary Reduction Agreementand an ORP-16A. • ORP Member making change to TSA voluntary contribution – must submit a Salary Reduction Agreement. • Non-ORP member making change to TSA voluntary contribution – must submit a Salary Reduction Agreement. • ORP/Non-ORP members changing/adding investment companies – must submit a copy of the company application. • Submit all forms to Human Resources • 457 members making changes to their accounts, must contact their 457 providers or the Bureau of Deferred Compensation, 877-299-8002.   9. ORP-16 (Page 4) If enrolling in the ORP, UCF will contribute an amount equal to 10.42% of the employee’s gross salary. The employee must select an ORP company and note the percentage amount on the corresponding line (must be equal to 10.42%). Employees have the option of contributing up to 10.42% to an ORP company in addition to the employer’s contribution. List the desired percentage amount on the corresponding line (not to exceed 10.42%). The company does not have to be the same one used for the employer contribution. 10.42 UCF Benefits Section
