The common answer to that question is “No.” So, I ask them, what are they doing to do about it? EXPLORE This site uses cookies. 2. OK 90% MENTAL Most athletes are hesitant to look inside the mind as a way to improve performance. It’s really easy to work harder in the weight room. It feels good. The bene?ts are tangible. It’s really easy to work on mechanics or to look at video. Those activities are needed but they also put more emphasis on the body than the mind….. Athletes need to realize, when it comes to performance, there is a mind/body connection. What are you going to do about it?

  3. Ninety Percent Mental I was drawn to Ninety Percent Mental for its baseball roots and quickly discovered it was more than just a unique perspective on the game. I realized Bob Tewksbury’s unique perspective on building and utilizing mental skills and techniques such as imagery, self- awareness and strategic thinking can be used for dealing with everyday pressure, anxiety and change. I recommend this book for baseball fans and non-baseball fans alike who like a good anecdote while also building their own mental skills toolbox.
