  1. Graduation Requirements (Class of 2014) • HSPA Spring of Junior Year • HSPA testing is a graduation requirement for all high school students to take and pass • 120 Total Credits • 4-Pe/Health • 4-English • 3-Math • 3- Science • 3-Social Studies • 1-Foreign Language • 1-Practical Art • 1-Fine/Performing Art • 1-Financial Literacy 2.5 credits

  2. College Bound Students • Students planning on applying to four-year colleges should take a minimum of 16 courses at the college prep level or higher. Students planning on applying to selective colleges should take a fourth year of Math and a third year of Foreign Language to be competitive. The minimum 16 units must include the following areas: • 4 - English • 3 - Math • 3 - Lab Science • 3 - Social Studies • 2 - Foreign Language (SAME LANGUAGE) • 1- Elective • 16 CP units minimum • NCAA Clearinghouse: College bound Student Athletes should visit http://web1.ncaa.org/ECWR2/NCAA_EMS/NCAA.html for more info.

COIN COIN Career Library On The Web • To access the COIN Career Library follow these steps: • Go to www.coin3.com • Click on the green “GO” button in the first column (Login to COIN Career Library) • Enter Site ID as: LNJ14982 • Enter User Login as: ehths Activities Resume: • An organized list of a students extra curricular activities, school or community based. • It is important to be constantly updating the resume, as it will be used as a tool for teachers and counselors to write letters of recommendations for you. • Example resumes can be found using the COIN program or you can see your counselor with any questions.

College & Career Information • College Visit: • Inform your counselor prior to the visit • Return with a note from the campus so the absence can be excused • College Representatives: • Representatives from colleges will visit EHT High School throughout the year. • Information on this can be obtained from the high school guidance web page. You may also tune in to your morning announcements for more information and dates. • Career Fairs: • We have several great career fairs scheduled for the remainder of the school year (including occupations in Health Professions). • Information on this can be obtained from the high school guidance web page. You may also tune in to your morning announcements for more information and dates.

  7. Senior Option • Senior Options students will take four courses in the morning rotation (English IV, P.E. IV and two electives) and then be dismissed from the school at 10:40am • Requirements are as follows: • Passing score on all sections of the NJ High School Proficiency Assessment (HSPA) • A minimum of 100 academic credits earned with no more than three (3) graduation requirements remaining (i.e. English IV, Physical Education IV, Fine or Practical Art). • Satisfactory attendance and discipline record as determined by the Assistant Principal. • Parking fee • Complete Senior Option Application

  8. Senior Ambassadors • Designed for selected seniors to mentor freshmen throughout the school year. Senior Ambassadors stay the full day and will be scheduled for seven courses and a study hall which they will use to meet with freshmen students. • Requirements are as Follows: • Passing score on all sections of the NJ High School Proficiency Assessment (HSPA) • Satisfactory attendance and discipline record as determined by the Assistant Principal. • Academically eligible as per student handbook guidelines • Remain academically eligible, have no discipline events, and have no attendance issues throughout the school year. • Complete Senior Ambassador application packet

Dual Credit • Dual Credit Courses are classes offered in the High School where students will have the opportunity to earn college credits along with HS credits. • The following courses are offered as dual credit options through ACCC for seniors: • Honors Psychology • Honors Introduction to Business • Honors College Accounting II • Honors Education and Training III

ACCC Online Courses • Students use a high school computer and a connection to the Internet to "attend" class. • The student will complete all course requirements and keep in touch with his/her instructor and classmates using some of the following: E-mail, online course software, and printed materials. • The student will have a study hall during the school day to take these courses. • Tuition and fees, textbooks for ACCC courses are the sole responsibility of the student. • For more information and a list of available courses, see your Guidance Counselor

  11. Tutoring • Math Tutor Center (B125) • Open to all students during study hall or lunch. Ask your teachers for a pass • English Tutor Center (E106) • Open to all students during study hall or lunch. Ask your teachers for a pass • National Honor Society • Open to all students after school during activity period, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in the Library. Sign-ups are on the frost desk in the Guidance. • Study Island – Tutoring and SAT Prep • Online program open to all students for all subjects. Access from your home computer. • Login: First name .
