  2. NPR Ethicist 11/03/02 • You have neighborhood kids and an adult (with family and children) mow your lawn, paint fences, clean the house etc. You pay the adult much more and give them a large tip—Is this ethical? • A male tells a male friend about someone in their social group who’s wife is pregnant but asks him to keep it confidential. Two weeks later the wife tells her husband she just heard about her friends pregnancy—his response he knows-her response, she is angry that he did not tell her. Should he have told her? What does a critical thinker think/do?

  3. A Critical Thinker • This sounds like a question about appeal to pity, a fallacy, what do you think • The ethicist said in terms of norms of our society male friend should assume the husband would tell his wife, especially about this topic, are he should ask specifically for friend to not tell his wife. I know I would be in trouble with my spouse if I did not tell her.

  4. A Recent Statement by a Politician Which presidential candidate approves of the right of a US president to start a “preemptive war”. It’s all right to have attacked Iraq because they would have attacked us if they could have." What does a critical thinker think/do?
