Fix “The operation cannot be performed because the message has been changed” Many users report the error message “The operation cannot be performed because the message has been changed” on Outlook while connecting to Microsoft Office 365 Office 2021, Office 2019, When we receive an error message while sending or opening an email in Microsoft Outlook on web, see the cause and understand how to fix it. The messages affected shows that the Outlook automatically saved a draft while editing them. If you create a new message type quickly, and send it before it is saved as drafts the message will be send. However, If you take time to compose the message and Outlook it will be saved in draft, the message. The message that Outlook thinks has changed is the one in the drafts folder, and the send fails because it cannot delete the draft as part of the send operation. This Error message “The operation cannot be performed because the message has been changed” applies to all versions of windows like Windows 11, 10, Windows 8 & 8.1, and Windows 7.
