Announcements: lcg-CA releases • No more lcg-CA releases. • This is now done by EGI. • There’s a new IGTF distribution 1.38, and this will be done only by EGI. • gLite will update the Installation and Configuration guide to include the necessary details: • https://twiki.cern.ch/twiki/bin/view/LCG/GenericInstallGuide320#The_Certification_Authority_repo • https://twiki.cern.ch/twiki/bin/view/LCG/GenericInstallGuide310#The_Certification_Authority_repo • We are still discussing what to do with the old lcg-CA repository.   5. gLite 3.1 retirement status • The 3.1 retirement calendar is available in: • http://glite.cern.ch/support_calendar/ • The following services were phased out since the last GDB: • glite-BDII • glite-GLEXEC_wn • glite-LB • glite-SCAS • glite-TORQUE_server • glite-TORQUE_client • Note the difference between torque-client package and the glite-TORQUE_client metapackage, as clarified in LCG-ROLLOUT. • 3.1 CREAM retirement calendar was re-scheduled. • Security updates until the end of February. • See slide about lcg-CE later on… Middleware Update - M.   7. gLite Releases - CREAM • glite-CREAM • 3.2 glite-CREAM 1.6.4: http://glite.cern.ch/R3.2/sl5_x86_64/updates/22 • In Production since today • Feedback collected from last GDB triggered this release. • We agreed that it should be ready some weeks before the new LHC run. • Thanks to CREAM PT, IT-PES, IT-GT and EGI the release is now in Staged Rollout as planned (no problems encountered so far). • It contains bug fixes related to operational issues that will allow for a more stable and reliable CREAM CE. • 3.1 glite-CREAM 1.6.3: http://glite.cern.ch/R3.1/sl4_i386/glite-CREAM/3.1.27-2 • In Production since 01.02.2011. • Last release in gLite 3.1. • 3.2 glite-CREAM 1.7: https://savannah.cern.ch/patch/?4051 • In Progress.   8. gLite Releases – lcg-CE • lcg-CE • 3.1 lcg-CE 3.1.46:https://savannah.cern.ch/patch/?4605 • In Staged Rollout. • Bug fixes and possibility to be installed with glite-CLUSTER. • Retirement of lcg-CE already discussed with EGI after the last GDB • The following agenda has been proposed: • New CREAM 1.6.4 solves operational issues. Service is now in good shape to be deployed. • Availability calculations in SAM/Nagios are expected to be fixed by the end of March so that CREAM is considered for availabilities. • At the end of March we could evaluate the status of CREAM. • We can then be in a good position to define a realistic retirement calendar for lcg-CE.   9. gLite Releases – glite-CLUSTER • glite-CLUSTER • New node type that allows the configuration information related to the batch system environment to be separated from the configuration related to the job submission interface.   10. gLite Releases – DPM/LFC • LFC • 3.2 LFC_mysql/oracle 1.8.0-1 • In Production since today. • http://glite.cern.ch/R3.2/sl5_x86_64/updates/22 • DPM • 3.2 DPM_disk/DPM_mysql 1.8.0-1 • In production since 18.01.2011 • http://glite.cern.ch/R3.2/sl5_x86_64/updates/21/ • 3.1 Releases of DPM/LFC 1.8.0-1 • In Staged Rollout since November 2010. • No sites available for SR. • Proposal to EGI -> Move this to Production in any case to be able to complete the 3.1 retirement calendar. • Next release 1.8.1 only planned for EMI-1 for the time being. • Small increment wrt to 1.8.0 • Not yet decided whether it will be released in gLite 3.2.   16. gLite Releases – Batch System • TORQUE_utils, TORQUE_client, TORQUE_server • New torque 2.3.13 to be integrated in gLite. • Best effort by Nikhef. • Release under preparation. • Torque packages are now built. • Missing configuration changes in YAIM. • Metapackages need to be created as well. • Deadline now met but not ready. • Don’t have more news... • CONDOR_utils • Release to have CONDOR_utils in SL5. • Best effort by PIC. • No real progress on this. • Developers contacted and answered they will work on this.
