  6. Challenges • Sites do not regularly report treatment data to the local health jurisdiction as required by the Ohio Administrative Code (OAC). • Local health jurisdictions do not regularly report treatment data to the Ohio Department of Health as required by the OAC. • Due to the large number of CT and GC case reports sent to ODH, entering the data in a timely manner is a challenge. • Not all IPP sites have access to the Ohio Disease Reporting System (ODRS).

  7. Current Strategies • The Free Medical Clinic of Greater Cleveland now has access to ODRS and began entering in treatment data in May 2010. • 14 sites from Planned Parenthood of Northeast Ohio will begin entering treatment data into ODRS in the upcoming months.

  8. Future Strategies • Communicate the importance of submitting STD treatment data via the Ohio Local Health Department weekly conference call. • Write a requirement and performance standards into the CSPS grant for LHDs in regards to CT and GC treatment data. • As part of participation in the Ohio IPP, require all sites to report treatment data or risk being dropped from the program.
