  3. CCEP rocks because FREE college course(s) tuition and related texts FREE city bus tickets or parking costs covered You become a Conestoga College ITAL student

  4. Location of CCEP Doon Campus, Kitchener Cambridge Campus

  5. Credits Available CCEP allows students to earn: College credits in one or two dual courses High school credit for each college course passed Two secondary Co-op credits

  6. College Course Delivery Models Congregated Model - secondary students only Integrated or Top Up Model - both college & secondary students

  7. Congregated Courses Offered February 2012 Personal Support Worker Canadian Criminal Justice System Early Childhood Education Graphic Design

  8. Integrated Courses OfferedFebruary 2012 (start in January) Business Computing Application Computer Programming Psychology and Accounting

  9. College Course Timelines Congregated courses are typically 45 hours Some integrated courses are longer (e.g., computer programming) Three hours per week for 15 weeks

  10. Co-op Timelines 3 weeks of pre-placement classes - 3 hours/day Integration class every second Friday am or pm after co-op placements start Co-op placement reflects students career interests

  11. WCDSB Teacher Role – Co-op Teach the co-op pre-placement and develop a 5-month calendar for each student To assess and find co-op placements Teach integration lessons bi-weekly Monitor students

  12. WCDSB Teacher Role – College Course Provide support - enhance language & writing skills Review study & note-taking skills with students Communicate/Advocate with college professors

  13. Requirements for CCEP Program Have 26/27 secondary credits with compulsory credits completed (or have a plan) Enroll in the entire 3 or 4 credit package Demonstrate a mature attitude and commitment to completing the OSSD

  15. Application Process Complete Co-op Application Form Complete a Parent & Student Information Form Provide two teacher references Complete the Dual Credit course selection form Complete the Conestoga College registration form
