  2. Capabilities • Viewing Letters sent to or for the Veteran from the VA • Tracking Items requested from the Veteran or requested for the Veteran • View Development Checklist • View notes concerning phone contact to the Veteran

Accessing MAP-D(Through Internet) • Website https://vbahinescitrix.vba.va.gov/VBApps/auth/login.aspx • Username & Password in letter from VARO • DOMAIN is VBA • If your letter’s Username & Password doesn’t work call VARO help desk • Waco RO (254) 299-9483 • Hou RO (713) 383-1860/1868 or e-mail Hou at VAVBAHOU/RO/IRM

  4. Hines Citrix Icons • Select MAP-D_Prod

  5. Logging into MAPD(Direct Line) • Start • VBAPPS • VETSNET • MAPD

  6. Loading Application • Computer automatically loads application • When “OK” is dark & “Ready” Appears • Click “OK”

  7. Application Loaded • Screen After Applications were loaded

  8. Beginning to Search • Began search • Click “File” • Click “Search”

  9. Inputting PII(Personal Identifiable Information) • New window opens to insert Veteran’s File or SSN • In most cases either the SSN or File number will work

  10. Tree View • Can be considered “Home” page • Note Info on right side • Useful button; Notes, “View”

  11. Notes • Displays Phone contact with Vet • For expansion click “Text Box View” • Notes phone call(s) from Veterans to phone center

  12. Expanded “Text Box View” • Text of phone contact with Veteran • Click “OK” to return to “Tree View” • If a Veteran Called the RO to cancel a C&P exam it may be shown here. A Form 119 is drafted by the phone center and sent to the RO • If the Veteran notified the RO of inability to attend a C&P the TVC can argue the RO received notification

  13. Tree View • On Left side note plus [+] sign • Click on Plus [+] sign to expand Tree

  14. Expanding Tree • Expanding “Ended Claims” • Note, more plus [+] signs

  15. Additional Expansion • Completely expanded Tree • Note, no more Plus [+] signs • Used for historical view of Veteran’s File

  16. Letter Library • Displays letters sent to the Veteran or sent on Veteran’s behalf • Does NOT display Award / Denial Letters (Virtual VA is not available to most CSO’s) • Click “View” to view letter

  17. Viewing Letter in Letter Library • Example of letter sent to a doctor on Veteran’s behalf

  18. Viewing Pending Claim • Note “Claim Status” • Note “Suspense Date” (“Suspense Date” is date VA projects action to be completed)

  20. Viewing Tracked Items • Example of Tracked Items: • Request for Exam • Request for civilian medical records • Request for records from Reserve Units

  23. Expanded View of Historical Tracked Items • Example of expanded view of Historical Tracked Items • Good source to check and verify if item(s) were or were not received by the VA (not always up to date) • Use “Return to Tree View”

  24. Viewing Checklist • Checklist is only visible on pending claim • Select “View” to view notes • For previous Checklist go to “Tracked Items” & Select “Generate Checklist” (Provides PAGES of information)

  25. Viewing Notes on Checklist • To view detailed notes select “Text Box View”

  26. Text Box View • Example Text Box View • Click “OK” to return to Tree View

  27. Tree View • Back to beginning • Select “X” at top right to close program
