  2. TSDL: New State Data Mandate • Was a result of Federal Law / ARRA • America Competes Act requires all teachers to be linked to students. • Michigan formed a workgroup to comply with MDE’s request for the data. 05/10/2012 - NC RESA

What Data Will TSDL Include? • 2011-2012 Data • Course data with new subject area (req.) and course identifier codes • Identification of courses with national subject area codes • All teachers linked to courses with PIC code (REP) • Credits granted if secondary grade selected • Completion status for ALL grades 05/10/2012 - NC RESA

  17. Evaluation Timeline • End of year 2012 • Superintendent, Principal, Assistant Principal, Teacher effectiveness ratings must be reported in REP. • Other administrators encouraged, but optional • DUE July 2, 2012 in REP 02/18/2011 - NC RESA

  18. When Is It Due? • Submission window opens in April 30th and remains open until August 1st. (cut off 24th) • Multiple uploads can be processed but can only be certified once. • Should allow for districts to work on data over summer and let appropriate staff review before certification 05/10/2012 - NC RESA

Who Will Submit The Data? • Local counselors will have to review secondary courses to identify subject and course identifiers (see SCED codes) and enter in student databases (Skyward, Infinite Campus) • Data files will be created by NCATS from Skyward • Data is uploaded by local authorized MSDS users • Edits can be made before certifying • No Macomb Software at this time 05/10/2012 - NC RESA
