  6. Endoplasmic Reticulum: carries materials from one part of the cell to another Animal Cell Golgi body: receive materials from the endoplasmic reticulum and sends them to other parts of the cell Nucleus: directs all of the cell’s activities, including reproduction Ribosomes: Function as factories to produce proteins Cell Membrane: forms a barrier between the cytoplasm and the environment outside the cell Mitochondria: Rod shaped organelles that produces most of the cell’s energy Lysosomes: These small organelles contain chemicals that break down food Particles and worn out cell parts Cytoplasm: The material within a cell apart from the nucleus Vacuole: some animal cells have vacuoles that store food, water, waste, and other materials

  7. Nucleus: directs all of the cell’s activities, including reproduction Cytoplasm: a gel like fluid in which many different organelles are found Plant Cell Cell Wall: a stiff wall surrounds the membrane, giving the cell a rigid, boxlike shaped Golgi Body: receive materials from the endoplasmic reticulum and send them to other parts of the cell Chloroplasts: organelles capture energy from sunlight and use it to produce food for the cell Mitochondrion: Most of the cell’s energy is produced within these rod shaped organelles Vacuole: this sac within the cytoplasm stores water, food, waste products, and other materials Cell Membrane: protects the cell and regulates what substances enter and leave the cell Endoplasmic Reticulum: network of passageways carries materials from one part of the cell to another Ribosomes: small structures function as factories to produce protein

  8. The Differences Between Animal and Plant cells There are many difference between an animal cell and a plant cell. One difference is that a plant cell has a cell wall but an animal cell does not. Another way they are different is that a animal cell has a small vacuole but a plant cell has a big vacuole. Another way they are different is that plant cells have chloroplasts but animal cells do not. Those are the differences of the animal and plant cells.

  9. Photosynthesis and respiration equations
