  1. The Battle for Our Minds! • 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 (NKJV) 3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,

  2. Is Opposing False Doctrine Enough? • Revelation 2:2-4 (NKJV) 2 “I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars; 3and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name’s sake and have not become weary. 4 Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love.

  9. What is worry? • John 14:27 (NKJV) - 27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

  10. What is worry? • Look at how often Jesus reminded His disciples of this (Jn 14:27) • Faith teaches me what God wants me to do and what God will do. (1 Cor 3:5-6)

  11. What is worry? • 1 Corinthians 3:5-6 (NKJV) - 5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers through whom you believed, as the Lord gave to each one? 6I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase.

  12. What is worry? • Look at how often Jesus reminded His disciples of this (Jn 14:27) • Faith teaches me what God wants me to do and what God will do. (1 Cor 3:5-6) • There is a burden God does place on us. (1 Cor 12:25)

  13. What is worry? • 1 Corinthians 12:25 (NKJV) - 25 that there should be no schism in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another.

  15. What is worry? • Matthew 6:33-34 (NKJV) - 33 “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”

  16. Things I Must not Worry About • I must not worry about who will be the leader of our country.

  17. Things I Must not Worry About • Revelation 2:26-27 (NKJV) - 26 And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations— 27 ‘Heshall rule them with a rod of iron; They shall be dashed to pieces like the potter’s vessels’— as I also have received from My Father;

  18. Things I Must not Worry About • I must not worry about who will be the leader of our country. • I must not worry about how I will pay the bills.

  19. Things I Must not Worry About • Luke 3:14 (NKJV) - 14 Likewise the soldiers asked him, saying, “And what shall we do?” So he said to them, “Do not intimidate anyone or accuse falsely, and be content with your wages.”

For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” 6 So we may boldly say: “The Lordis my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”

  24. Things I Must not Worry About • 1 Peter 4:4-6 (NKJV) - 4 In regard to these, they think it strange that you do not run with them in the same flood of dissipation, speaking evil of you. 5 They will give an account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead. 6 For this reason the gospel was preached also to those who are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.

He who is unmarried cares for the things of the Lord—how he may please the Lord. 33 But he who is married cares about the things of the world—how he may please his wife…. 35 And this I say for your own profit, not that I may put a leash on you, but for what is proper, and that you may serve the Lord without distraction.
