  2. HACKS TO RELIEVE SORE MUSCLES AFTER DIWALI CLEANING Are you facing muscle pain and soreness after all that Diwali cleaning? Climbing stairs becoming a torture to you? Can’t lift a spoon in the kitchen, after lifting those heavy buckets and moving cupboards? And the worse, does the pain seem to hang around for 2, even 3 days?? If you are facing any of the above situations, there isn’t much cause to be worried, because this muscular pain and soreness is completely normal, and it even has a name: Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness, or DOMS. DOMS is a muscle pain or discomfort that occurs as a result of muscle damage after a strenuous exercise. It usually appears one or two days after the damage is done and can last for several days. Most believe soreness develops as a result of microscopic damage to muscle fibers involved the exercise. ✔ Read about DOMS: Hacks for Aching Sore Muscles by clicking here. ✔ Read about Back Pain due to Poor Posture by clicking here. MUSCLE STRAIN OR SPRAIN THE INSTANT HOME REMEDY “Given the hustle during any festival, we see a spurt in strains and sprains”, says Dr Karishma Daswani (PT), head of clinical practice at ReLiva Physiotherapy & Rehab. Muscle pain - no matter how you describe it - "pulled muscle", "muscle strain", "muscle injury" or "torn tear" the end result is injury to your muscle potentially resulting in muscle spasms, pain, weakness and reduced muscle performance. Treatment options vary depending on the severity of your strain or tear. But here is an easy remedy to put you back into action until you've been accurately diagnosed by a medical practitioner - RICE is usually very helpful. ✔Read about Muscle Strain, Sprain or Injury – The RICE Protocol by clicking here.
