Ohio TIF opportunities • Through Ohio TIF, Mid-East CTC will: • Define what it means to be an effective educator • Utilize quality, reliable data to inform instructional practices • Enhance evaluation systems for principals and teachers • Design award programs that recognize educators for contributions to student achievement • Make data-driven decisions about professional development opportunities

  10. TIF Award Model Goals • All TIF Award Models contain 4 key components: • Student Growth • Student Achievement • Building Professional Capacity • Fostering Leadership

ACT National Career Readiness Certificate –District Goal • Level one students will take the WorkKeys assessments (Applied Math, Reading for Information, and Locating Information) to earn a bronze or better National Career Readiness Certificate by the end of their junior year. • Measure: Level I students not meeting the benchmark during the fall test period will increase by 25%

  12. Results: 2011-12 • Fall 2011 • 469 students were tested • 81% (379) students earned a bronze or better • Spring 2012 • 90 students were tested • 71% (64) students earned a bronze or better

Next Year…2012-2013 • The goal will remain the same for Level I students • The goal for Level II students will be to earn the National Career Readiness Certificate based the identified Occupational Profile • Measure:50% of Level II students will earn the National Career Readiness Certificate as identified by the occupational profile

  15. ACT Quality Core • ACT End of Course Exams • Awarded to teachers and directors for meeting or exceeding expected growth in two of the three tested areas: English, math, or science. • Measure: Improvement from department scaled scores in two content areas
