  1. Alliance Children’s Ministries is hosting a Children’s National Project called Pesos for Pollo(that means Money for Chickens).

  2. Why chickens? Chicken nuggets. Chicken pot pie. Scrambled eggs. Yummy! We like to eat tasty food. But lots of kids living in the Copper Canyon of Mexico have hungry tummies. In fact, half of the children don’t make it to age 10.

  3. Chickens provide food to fill their hungry tummies. And by raising chickens, Copper Canyon kids can develop new life skills by helping their families. This helps create a self-sustaining, healthy community for the Tarahumara People.

  4. Pick up a Pesos for Pollo postcard to get started with four fun ideas – or get cracking with your own creative ideas of how to raise money for chickens. Each chicken costs only $5, and they need at least 300 chickens. How many chickens can you buy for kids in the Copper Canyon?
