  2. How Do We Make Federation Work • Inclusion of industry in any solution • Leverage the work DMDC has implemented around DCCIS • Any Solution must be interoperable with other systems for physical and logical access. (DBIDS, DNVC, JAMMS)

  4. Work We are Doing/Preparing For In Contingencies • Inclusion of biometric and base authorization systems in the CENTCOM area of Responsibility • Industry “Pilot” at Fort Belvoir • Promote ability to quickly add contractors to federal response plans (overseas & domestically)

  5. Challenges Around Federation • DoD must be isolated from risks • Strong governance to ensure that companies and industry groups play by the rules • Standardized interoperability and security requirements • Eliminate the concern about PII issues through “Federated Situational Access”
