Kay’s Greys is a small private group of greyhound lovers in the Melbourne area passionate about re-homing unwanted greyhounds. In our view greyhounds are born to run and not race and we do everything to save as many as we can. We know that greyhounds make truly wonderful pets and adapt nicely when making the transition from race track life to your couch.

2. Why greyhounds need your help How you can help In Australia an estimated 20,000 greyhounds are bred for the racing industry yearly. This makes the greyhound racing industry a very large puppy farm, but contrary to the poor puppies you buy at the mall, greyhounds are not bred to go to a loving family home. Greyhounds are bred to race but only about 13,000 (2009 figure) out of the 20,000 bred make it to the race tracks. In other words, 35% of all greyhounds are killed without ever racing! We have recently saved two greyhounds , Bobby and Lacey, from a Sydney pound and they need your help. • There are many ways you can help us and we appreciate all hands on deck: • Spread the word and pass this flyer on to your family and friends to raise awareness • Please do not attend any greyhound race or bet on a greyhound • Donate food, treats, toys, worming tablets, dog beds etc. • Help us pay our bills at the vet for our greyhounds : • Account Name: Greencross Vet, BSB 064000, Account Number: 12742637 • Reference No 57 and client no 11361 Hey I’m Bobby… I’m Julz and look for a new family to bunk with : ) P.S.
