  1. Creating Your Own Veracrypt Recovery Disk VeraCrypt is an open-source, portable free software key cryptography tool utilized for on-the-fly encryption. The program can create digital encrypted disks that act like normal removable disks but are stored in a virtual file. It can also encrypt a whole storage device or a portion with pre-boot authentication. With VeraCrypt, you can easily store your Vera security files onto external media such as flash drives, CD-ROMs, or USB keys. If your Mac OS X is properly configured, it should be able recognize and use these keys whenever necessary. Many people find it easier to use the Mac OS X built-in full-disk encryption than to use Veracrypt. Veracrypt isn't necessary if your Mac OS X machine uses disk encryption with the "CBC" (cryptomysticism algorithm) feature. Veracrypt is required if your Mac OS X machine uses the "CBC (ryption algorithm)" disk encryption mode. Veracrypt can help you generate and store a long-lasting, accurate encryption password. You can use veracrypt and make it compatible with your MAC OS X simply by downloading the following software directly from the official website. Upon downloading veracrypt and saving it to a convenient location on your desktop, you must first uninstall it. To do this, click on "untick" in the bottom left corner to open veracrypt. Then click on "lies" next the line that states "storage". The program will now be uninstalled, and you can continue with the installation process. You will find veracrypt in the /Mac OS X Applications Folder. Within it you will find a new folder called "applications". Double-click into the folder to open Veracrypt. The Veracrypt application will allow to create a secure hidden volume that is password-protected and will serve as your primary storage location for all your important files. The main interface allows you to set up different encryption keys and key options. By selecting the "new" option which allows you to key in your personal encryption key or password, you will be asked to enter the pass phrase that you will use to unlock your hidden volume. You should also select a location in which you want the Veracrypt application to reside, and then upon selecting the location you want the application to reside, you should also save the newly created hidden volume. As stated above, this is a straightforward step by step process. However, if you're new to virtual machines, it's a good idea to read the instructions included with your veracrypt Rescue disk to familiarize yourself to the various commands available. Once you feel comfortable enough to follow the instructions, you can simply follow them to create your own secure encrypted system partitions. After you have saved the application and completed the wizard's installation process, you should be able to boot up your computer and locate your newly created encrypted giàn phơi bảo minh partitions. You will then be able to use your new partition to store all of your most important files and programs, and you will be able to restore any files from the backup that you took prior to creating your secret hidden area.
