WP3: EGI functionality definition • “The main goal of WP3 is the definition of the functions to be attributed to EGI (considered here as an example of a European Organization having the NGIs as stakeholders) and the elaboration of a working model between EGI and NGI(s) with its evolution in time, to ensure the future sustainability of the EU e-infrastructure.”

My thoughts… (re T3.2) • Start with the service – this has a strong impact on all other aspects of this task • Invite experts to contribute to knowledge base • See EGI workshop on Tuesday • I am waiting, willing and wanting to help coordinate this activity • Goal: all existing (documented) experience added to / referenced from KB by year end • Early 2008: focussed workshop for those who contributed and those who wish they had to consolidate (not input) the ‘knowledge’ according to the agreed themes • EGI_DS WS2 will be in H1 March (to avoid Easter) in Padua/Padova • Hence the “T3.2 consolidation workshop” must produce clear proposals • What is “agreed”; • What needs more discussion; • What needs more work.
