Test anxiety • When you’re worried over your performance on an exam : • Your heart beats faster • Your pulse speeds up • Hormones are secreted • Sweat more than normal • Suffer from a stomachache or headache • Your field of vision narrows • Leaving you with very peripheral sight • Having difficulty focusing • Your mind goes blank

  3. Workshop of Dr. Trimble students on over coming test anxiety. For many students being with other sufferers was a relief and they found they weren’t alone and freaks. They were told to prevent it from getting the best of them. • Learn to relax:Stretch as hard as you can your muscles then suddenly relax all of them • Don’t want to be too relaxed; There is a optimum level of concern when you perform at your best. • Concentrate on what you can do: If you leave too much studying until before the examination concentrate on what you can do & try to think what questions are likely

Workshop of Dr. Trimble students on over coming test anxiety. • During the study: • Set a moderate pace • Vary it by interspersing reading, writing notes, • Going over your notes • Review what you know • Take breaks & go to sleep in plenty of time to get a good night’s rest before the exam • Eat a moderate breakfast or lunch, avoiding drinks with caffeine • Steering clear of follow students who get tense (Panic is contagious.)
